About the Cupertino Shotokan Dojo
The Cupertino Shotokan Dojo is a member dojo of Shotokan Karate of America, a not-for-profit organization teaching karate in the U.S. since 1955. The Cupertino Shotokan Dojo held its first practice at the Northwest YMCA in April 2010, paused for the pandemic, and resumed in 2022.
We teach Shotokan Karate as a traditional martial art. Our practice emphasizes the development of mental strength and natural, realistic techniques. We are not a commercial karate school. We do not require a contract and will not sell you a package or a program. Students at all levels practice together, helping each other improve and become more confident.
