About the El Camino Shotokan Dojo
The El Camino Shotokan Dojo is a member dojo of Shotokan Karate of America, a not-for-profit organization teaching karate in the U.S. since 1955. The El Camino Shotokan Dojo held its first practice at the El Camino YMCA on September 5, 2023.
We teach Shotokan Karate as a traditional martial art. Our practice emphasizes the development of mental strength and natural, realistic techniques. We are not a commercial karate school. We do not require a contract and will not sell you a package or a program. Students at all levels practice together, helping each other improve and become more confident.
